In this week’s podcast we talk about our amazing PAX trip 🙂 We played so many games that we probably have forgotten some but I’m sure we’ll be talking about our trip for the next few weeks. We finally got our hands on with all the different VR platforms including Morpheus, Oculus and VIVE. VR is here and we are believers, listen to us rant about all the wicked VR games we played including Kitchen, Getaway London Heist, Call of the Starseed, Portal, Eve Valkyrie, Airmech and Oculus Touch. This episode is so packed that we don’t really touch on any news but we’ll will be back to a regular episode next week and catch up on any of the notable news we may of missed while we were gone.

Star Wars Battlefront’s dogfighting mode, Fighter Squadron, has been officially revealed.

EA has just shown off the full gameplay for Fighter Squadron, Star Wars Battlefront’s newest mode. The multiplayer mode pits 20 players against each other in battles that go from the highest altitudes to very tight near-surface skirmishes. X-Wings, A-Wings, TIE Fighters, and The Millennium Falcon are all seen playable, with the Falcon appearing to killstreak.
The rounds will also have 20 additional AI fighters to add to the scale.
The demo below took place on the planet Sullust, which hasn’t been explored before.

The amiibo figures launching on the 11th of September feature many fan-favorite characters from the Super Smash Bros. series like Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf and Bowser Jr. A special Super Mario Bros. 30th series Mario amiibo modeled after Mario’s 8-bit look in the original Super Mario Bros. game will offer compatibility with the Super Mario Maker game for the Wii U console. Both the game and the amiibo figure will launch on the 11th of September.

Further details about availability and pre-order schedules for these figures will be announced directly from various retailers in the near future. Three figures based on Mii Fighters, which were previously announced for release in September, will now launch as a 3 pack in November. More information about launch plans for the 30thAnniversary Mario Modern Color amiibo in North America will be shared in the future.
Nintendo today announced a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for the 3DS.
The game comes out on October 23, making it the second first-party title for the 3DS in the month, with Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash also hitting on October 9.
Tri Force Heroes features three-player co-op play as well as single-player action via A.I. controlled paper dolls.
