Well today Gearbox and publisher 2K announced that Battleborn is getting a free trial, giving the people Battleborn’s multiplayer for free. They claim that you can play all of the multiplayer without any limits or level caps.
In this new free version, they are releasing a rotating group of 6 heroes out of the possible 30 they offer, as well as gameplay modes and maps. When you play each character, that progress will be saved, even if that character is no longer playable, so that the next time they are, that will all be there still.
Luckily, they are also grouping new players together, so all the n00bs don’t get slaughtered by the veteran players. Once you reach rank 20, then you will move out of the Novice Queue and can play with everyone else
The free trial goes into affect starting today, worldwide for Xbox One and PC, and North America only for PS4, but will become available in Europe and Japan for those PS4 users starting June 13.

Beam is a streaming service similar to Twitch, that last year was bought by Microsoft. Since then they have added Beam into Windows 10, and Xbox One. Well today they announced that they are changing the name from Beam, to Mixer. They said that they felt that with the Beam name that they were unable to grow and expand into every market around the world, so they chose Mixer as their new name because it represents what they love about the service, how it brings people together.
One of the big things that they are touting with Mixer, is the ability to interact with streamers in almost real time, so compared with the 12-15 second delay on Twitch, Mixer is actually live.
Also launching alongside the new name is Co-Streaming. Starting today, they are launching the ability for up to 4 streamers to combine their streams into a single Mixer page. So like the image above shows, you can have 4 different people, even spread across 4 different locations, all playing together and streaming for a centralized experience, they don’t even have to be playing the same game!
Microsoft is also Launching a Mobile app (currently in beta) called Mixer Create on iOS and Android to allow users to self broadcast on the go. It is launching publicly on Android today and invite only through TestFlight on iOS. This will allow people to stream not just mobile games, but all kinds of other experiences as well.
Mixer is also getting its own Xbox One page on the dashboard, so starting today, for those who are Xbox Insiders, they will see a page full of streamers and streams all happening that they can get in on at the touch of a button.
Microsoft also announced that they will be streaming their E3 Press Briefing in 4k Ultra HD, and for those with the proper setup, they can watch it on Mixer in a special edition broadcast with all kinds of goodies and digital bonuses for those who watch on that platform.
They released a whole bunch more, in which you can get all the details in the video above.

In all the Destiny 2 Hubabalu that happened last week, we have finally learned more about the PC version of the game, specifically that it will be coming exclusively to Blizzard’s Battle.net platform. This will mark the first time a third party developed title will come to what has always been Blizzards platform. Also as part of this news, we have also learned that the PC version of Destiny 2 will not be launching day and date with the console versions of the game, and as yet, do not have a launch date.
Evolve, is the 4 vs 1 game from Turtle Rock Studios that was released last year to much excitement. Unfortunately that excitement quickly turned sour due to the terrible DLC and micro-transaction strategy. Well we are happy to announce that they have thought long and hard about this and decided to essentially reboot the whole game in what they are calling Evolve Stage 2.
What that means for you and I friends, is that starting today, you can go download Evolve Stage 2 for free on Steam for PC. They have announced a plan for the people that have already bought the game in what they are calling the “founders” so that they won’t be left out in the cold, going as far as to say everything that they have unlocked will be available to them in the “new” game as well as some ongoing bonuses as well. Founders can expect such goodies as:
3,000 Silver Keys, all past and future Adaptations for previously owned Hunters and Monsters, dozens of Weapon Skins, and four unique, animated Founder badges.
If you owned any Hunters, Monsters, or Skins previously, those will be carried over to Evolve Stage 2.
In future, there will be new, exclusive badges, skins and assorted cosmetics for Founders.
Evolve’s very large cast of characters and cosmetics will all be unlockable in Stage 2 by using an in-game currency called Silver Keys, earned by playing. There’s no mention yet of whether you’ll be able to pay cash, although I am sure that they will be mentioning something about it soon.
They also announced that not only are they going free to play, they are also overhauling the entire game, they gave us a small taste of the changes that we can expect to see when logging in now
Major changes include a renewed focus on the signature 4v1 Hunt mode, with rejigged classes to lighten the load for inexperienced Medics and Trappers:
The MOBILE ARENA is now a shared ability that always centers on the Monster, and all four hunter classes have been redesigned to be more easily accessible and have better team synergy even when you’re not playing with friends.
TRAPPER – With the mobile arena a shared ability, all Trapper class hunters now come equipped with a PLANET SCANNER ability that tells the hunters generally which direction the monster is located within the map. Trappers also get a speed boost when activating the ability to help them close the distance and Dome the Monster.
MEDIC – All Hunter classes now have passive health regeneration that automatically heals players when they aren’t taking damage.
SUPPORT – All Support class hunters now have a SHIELD BURST ability that automatically charges the shields of teammates that are close enough to the Support.
All Assault class hunters now have a DEFENSE MATRIX ability that replaces the personal shield’s invulnerability and instead provides damage reduction to the Assault character.
MONSTER – All Monsters now have more health and start with enough skill points to activate all four abilities at the start of a match. Alongside new found power and speed, the Monsters are back to terrorize Shear.
VISUAL FX and UI have been redesigned to provide a cleaner, more easily understandable experience for players of all skill levels.
MAPS have been redesigned specifically for HUNT using countless hours of gameplay data and player feedback since launch, resulting in maps that create consistently fair fights for Hunters and Monsters.
If you want to see what this game is about, or maybe what has changed, you can download the new Stage 2 version starting right now on Steam.
Capcom has announced that the recently released Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour, has now become the most downloaded single-player PS4 demo in the first week of its release for North America, and has now been downloaded over 2 million times globally. This with it only been released to Playstation Plus members makes us think that people really are excited for a new RE game.
The Demo is a prologue, and Capcom has stated that the demo will not be in the full game, but is a taste of the world and the feel they are going for in the full game.
