From the man that brought us the fantastic Battlestar Galactica, Ron Moore returns tonight with his new show, Helix, which starts tonight at 10pm on Syfy in the USA, and on Showcase here in Canada.

They are being tight lipped as far as plot goes, but what we know so far is that the show is about a team of CDC scientists that gets called in to an Arctic research laboratory in order to investigate a possible disease outbreak.

Staring, Billy Campbell, Jordan Hayes, Neil Napier, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, and Mark Ghanimé, this show has already been captivating audiences with some very enigmatic trailers, like the one below.

 

I know I will be tuning in tonight to get a feel for this very promising looking show. It has been a long time since we have had a good TV series in the same vein as the X-Files, so I am pretty excited.

Helix Season 1 starts airing tonight at 10pm on Syfy Network, and on Showcase in Canada.
