From the creators of Mark of the Ninja comes a new game, Incognita, and man it looks cool

From the guys that brought us last years Incredible, Mark of the Ninja, Klei are at it again, throwing the stealth genre on it’s head with their new one, Incognita.  I think the video does the best job for showing this game off, so I will just say, take a watch below.

So Incognita is Available for early alpha access on Windows PC’s here. It is also on the way to steam in the coming future. Also if you have yet to pick up their other simply amazing game Mark of the Ninja it too is available on Steam here.

You won’t find any Kain or Raziel in this Nosgoth

Well, Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver fans, I am sorry to tell you, the new game set in this universe has absolutely nothing to do with either of those franchise’s, except for being set in the same “universe”.  Nosgoth is the competitive, team-based Human vs. Vampire free-to-play multiplayer game set in the dark fantasy world of the ‘Legacy of Kain’ series. The premise is that this game takes place during the war between Humans and Vampires. You can either play as a human or a vampire, the humans are more range characters with weapons, and the Vampires are more melee focused characters, where they themselves are weapons, and their movement is also much greater (run on walls, one can fly, etc) Square Enix has released the first video showing off this new game, you can check it out below.

Nosgoth is going to be a Free To Play game, and it is going into closed beta soon. Nosgoth is being developed for the PC, no word on a console release at this time. If you want to know more, and sign up for the closed beta, you can go here, Nosgoth.

Joseph Staten writer/design director of Destiny is leaving Bungie

Today, in a Short announcement over on Bungie’s site, Joseph Staten the Writer/Design Director of Destiny has announced he is leaving Bungie.  In his own words:

Dear community friends,

After fifteen great years at Bungie, from the battlefields of Myth to the mysteries of Halo and beyond, I’m leaving to tackle new creative challenges. While this may come as a surprise, fear not. It’s been my pleasure building Destiny these past four years, and after the big reveal this Summer, our hugely talented team is on track for greatness. I’ll be cheering all of them, with all of you, when the game launches next year. Thank you for your support of me, and your continued support of Bungie. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Valve Announces Steam Machines

Valve, today, in the second announcement of three planned for this week, announced The Steam Box Machines. In an announcement where they really told us…. well not really anything. Other then to saying that they are working with partners to create various machines, and there will be a beta test, in which they are inviting 300 people from the public to test these machines, which if you are interested in doing so, you can go see the requirements for the “hardware beta test” Here.

We don’t have specs, we don’t have a drawing, we don’t get to see a prototype, really all they have told is “Entertainment is not a one-size-fits-all world. We want you to be able to choose the hardware that makes sense for you, so we are working with multiple partners to bring a variety of Steam gaming machines to market during 2014, all of them running SteamOS.” They have said that they would be shipping hardware in 2014, and that said hardware will be running SteamOS.

Oh and at the very bottom we get this little, possibly foreshadowing, morsel “Am I going to be using a mouse and a keyboard in the living-room? If you want. But Steam and SteamOS work well with gamepads, too. Stay tuned, though – we have some more to say very soon on the topic of input.”  Possibly tipping their hand at what Friday’s announcement will be? I guess we will have to wait till then and see.

They have stated that we will begin to see Steam Machines in early 2014.

First Look at Batman Arkham Origins PS3 Exclusives in new Video!

Announced back in June, we have known that PS3 owners of Batman Arkham Origins would be getting a few exclusives in the way of the Knightfall pack DLC. In that pack there would be some new maps as well as other goodies, like being able to play in Batman’s 60’s era costume as well as the Knightfall Batman costume. Well today they finally released a video showing off just how awesome those costumes look in motion. Take a look below.


Batman Arkham Origins will be out on October 25 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.

Steam OS has been announced, coming soon to a living room near you

Today, Valve made the first announcement of three that they have scheduled for this week. Valve has announced the Steam OS, a Linux based Steam OS for the living room. In their own words:

As we’ve been working on bringing Steam to the living room, we’ve come to the conclusion that the
environment best suited to delivering value to customers is an operating system built around Steam itself.
SteamOS combines the rock-solid architecture of Linux with a gaming experience built for the big screen.
It will be available soon as a free stand-alone operating system for living room machines.

In addition to a free open platform, they are also touting that due to being an integrated OS, they have “achieved significant performance increases in graphics processing, and we’re now targeting audio performance and reductions in input latency at the operating system level. ” As well, they are stating that Steam OS will integrate streaming your games from your desktop PC. They also stated that they are working on bringing the media services we love over to the platform in the coming months. No word on when Steam OS would be released, only that it would be released as a free download sometime in the near future.

This looks to be a way for Gabe Newell to show his love for Linux, and to try and build a better PC for the living room. We will be very interested in seeing where this goes in the future. Stay tuned for the next announcements that Valve is making later this week.

Nvidia Announces the Tegra Note, a tablet platform based on Tegra 4

So Nvidia has announced what appears to be a reference tablet platform design. The Idea here being that they come up with the design for the hardware, software, OTA Updates, and their partners (eVGA, PNY, etc) build and distribute them. It is not unlike how they design GPU’s, by building reference designs and then having their hardware partners build them and bring them to market. So what is it about the Tegra Note that you should be excited about? Well here are the specs for the platform:

Processor Tegra 4 mobile processor with quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU and 72-core GeForce GPU
Display 7-inch HD IPS LCD display (1280 x 800)
Camera Rear 5MP and front VGA webcam
Storage 16GB storage with microSD expandable up to an additional 32GB
Audio Front-facing “HD Audio” stereo speakers with a unique bass-reflex port
Stylus Chisel and Brush tips for natural writing and broad strokes
Peripherals Micro HDMI connector to drive big screen TV videos and gaming
OS 100% Android with latest version of the OS
Software Updates Over-the-air software updates directly from NVIDIA
Battery Life 10 hours HD video playback

Also users get OTA (Over the Air) Updates provided directly by Nvidia, thus making sure everyone on the platform has the latest and greatest software running on their tablets.

Also of note, Nvidia has given us a list of unique features that they are bringing to the Tegra Note platform, they are as follows.

  • Ultra-fast performance — Powered by Tegra 4 with a 72-core GeForce GPU and quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU with a fifth battery-saver core, making Tegra Note the world’s fastest 7-inch tablet.

And it starts at a suggested retail price of $199. This is in hopes of getting more people to buy into the platform, all of which is running 100% on Android.

So the new VERY pretty version of The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD comes out in the Nintendo e-Shop tomorrow for the Wii U, and is hitting stores on Oct 4. So we thought we would show you this video showcasing just how BIG of an increase this new one is in graphical fidelity over the original. The Video may be in Japanese, but we can look and see just how far from the original this new remake is. I don’t know about you guys, but I know what I will be playing once this is released.

Deep Down, The new PS4 Exclusive from Capcom, gets a new video, and I STILL have no clue what is going on.

Announced at E3, Deep Down is the new PS4 Exclusive Title coming from Capcom. Not a whole lot is known yet about this game, but they did release this trailer at TGS. Take a look and maybe you guys can figure out what is going on.

Deep Down is coming exclusively for the PS4, no word on a release date yet.

From the Creator of the Panzer Dragoon games, comes a new Xbox One download exclusive, Crimson Dragon. This is what they are calling a “flight-based shooter” It is Launching alongside the Xbox One on November 22 for 19.99$ Take a look at the screens and new video from The Tokyo Game Show (TGS).
