Lords of the Fallen is an upcoming action role-playing game being developed by Polish game studio CI Games. We got a very teasing, very fantastic trailer for the game last August, if you haven’t seen it yet, Take a look below.
Now at E3 this year we finally get a glimpse at some of the gameplay for Lords of The Fallen. It looks like it is taking some notes from Dark Souls, but they are saying it is not nearly as difficult or frustrating as those games are. Take a look at some gameplay below as well as some screenshots.

Lords of the Fallen is slated for a Fall 2014 release on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. I know I will be keeping a close eye on this one, as it really does look fantastic!

From the guys at Turtle Rock Studio’s, (the guys who brought us Left For Dead) comes this new Co-Op shooter called Evolve. Evolve is a 4 V1 Co-Op shooter in which one person plays as a Giant hulking monster and the other 4 play as a team tracking him down and attempting to kill him. It looks like one hell of a great time.
In this new interactive trailer you can click to anyone’s perspective while watching to see how the game unfolds from the variety of viewpoints, and I must say, take a look, as this looks like a BLAST!
Here are some new screenshots of this wicked looking game as well to help wet your whistle.
Evolve will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC, no release date has been announced yet, but we will definitely keep you guys posted.
Previously available to the Public, but as an open beta, Smite has officially been released. Developed by High-Rez Studio’s, Smite is a new take on the existing MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) style game. Instead of the classic view (overhead birds-eye view) that you normally get in these kinds of games, Smite changes this to a 3rd person view. Now as small of a change as this seems, it makes a HUGE difference in the way the game plays, and I think this change makes the game much more friendly to new users. Because you are using WASD to move and your mouse to look around, the game has a much more action oriented feel to it.
There are a variety of game modes, but the classic 5 VS 5, three lane Conquest Mode is the meat and potatoes here. They have also taken deity’s from mythology around the globe and created champions out of them, from Greek, Egyptian and Norse Mythology, all the way up to Hindu and Chinese Mythology, there are at current count, 51 gods playable in the game. They are also slowly adding more gods as time goes on, they have not stated yet how many they plan to add to the game, but so far they have a great assortment that can fit to a variety of play styles.
Smite is Free to Play, there is a weekly God rotation that cycles through the free gods available that week, as well as you can use in game currency or “Favour” as they call it, which you get by completing matches, or spend real money on Gems, which you can then use to buy gods, as well as skins for those gods. All in all not to uncommon for this kind of game, and it is a system that works well.
There are ranked games and Ladders in the game, and they are definitely aiming to get the game into e-sports with the built in Twitch Streaming as well as the fact that this weekend they are kicking things off with a rather large tournament in Atlanta, with more then $200k in prize money up for grabs. for more information on the tournament, you can go here.
For the launch of Smite they also sent along this very cool Cinematic trailer showing off a few of the gods in Smite, you can take a look at that below.
All throughout the Beta I have been playing my fair share of Smite as well and you can see some matches and how the game plays at the links below.
So what else can I say really, this game is worth the download, and I have been playing the crap out of it recently, and this in spite of the fact that Titanfall has come out. It really is kind of like the MOBA for people who can’t/don’t like MOBA’s. At the very least it is free, and if you can’t get into it, well that is fine, no harm no foul, but I def urge you to take a look at it.
To download the game and get playing, head here to SMITE.
So in a move that is making the whole Internet go up in flames, Oculus VR announced yesterday that they are being bought by Facebook. In a Deal worth $2 billion, Facebook will be acquiring all of Oculus VR, the deal, while not finalized yet, is expected to be complete in 2Q 2014.
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg had this to say of the deal “Mobile is the platform of today, and now we’re also getting ready for the platforms of tomorrow, Oculus has the chance to create the most social platform ever, and change the way we work, play and communicate.”
Oculus also seemed quite happy about the deal saying “We are excited to work with Mark and the Facebook team to deliver the very best virtual reality platform in the world,” Brendan Iribe, co-founder and CEO of Oculus VR says in a PR release. “We believe virtual reality will be heavily defined by social experiences that connect people in magical, new ways. It is a transformative and disruptive technology, that enables the world to experience the impossible, and it’s only just the beginning.”
The Deal will be a mix of around $400 Million in cash, and the remainder being Facebook shares once the deal is finalized.

Murdered: Soul Suspect publisher Square Enix have confirmed today that it will be coming to both the Xbox One and the PS4. Originally when it was announced, it was coming for Xbox 30, PC, and PS3, but now we know that it is officially coming to the two new consoles alongside the current ones, sometime in June 2014.
Square Enix stated in a statement that “The new console versions will offer increased visual fidelity via native 1080p output. Elements such as subsurface scattering and an increased particle count will depict an even more immersive ghost world and cast as players guide slain Salem detective Ronan O’Connor on a quest to find his killer and escape the limbo-like world of Dusk.”
Along with these announcements they also sent this new gameplay/story trailer showing off a little bit more of just what exactly Murdered: Soul Suspect is exactly, even though many people in the gaming press are already calling it “LA Noire with Ghosts” which if it actually is that….. I think that would be pretty damn sweet.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is slated for release sometime in June 2014.
So ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. Is your PC up to snuff for Titanfall? If it isn’t, you have a little bit of time left to get it there before the game drops in March.
